If you are like me, you love travelling as often as possible - but you also want to make your money stretch further. Over the years, I have discovered that you do not need a huge budget to have incredible experiences. Here are 8 destinations for 2025 where you can explore, relax and indulge without breaking the bank!

Albania

When I visited Albania, I was blown away by its beauty and affordability. The turquoise beaches of Ksamil felt like the Caribbean, but a beachfront meal cost me less than £10. Don't skip Gjirokaster - it is a charming mountain town straight out of a storybook!

Vietnam

Vietnam is one of those places where every pound goes far. From £1 banh mi sandwiches to £10 overnight train rides, the country is as affordable as it is beautiful. Halong Bay's limestone karsts were a highlight for me, and a boat tour didn't cost me more than £30!

Bolivia

Bolivia gave me some of my most adventurous travel memories. The Salar de Uyuni salt flats were like walking on clouds, and the £200 I spent on a 3-day tour, included everything - food, lodging and a guide. It is a dream for budget travellers!

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka feels like paradise without the hefty price tag. I stayed in a beachfront guesthouse for just £20 a night and dined on delicious curries for under £5. Climbing Sigiriya Rock was a highlight, and the views were worth every penny of the £30 entrance fee.

Georgia

Georgia's mix of history, wine and mountains is unbeatable. When I was in the Tbilisi, I found cosy guesthouses for £15 a night and had full meals for less than £7. The hike to the Gergeti Trinity Church is free - and the views are priceless.

Morocco

From the bustling souks of Marrakech to the blue streets of Chefchaouen, Morocco is a sensory delight. I stayed in a beautiful riad for £30 a night, and indulged in tagines and mint tea for just £5.

Portugal

Portugal offers excellent value for Western Europe. My favourite budget experience? Taking a tram ride in Lisbon for £3 and ending the day with a pastel de nata for just £1. Day trips to Sintra and Cascais are affordable and unforgettable.

Indonesia

Beyond Bali's well-trodden path, Indonesia is filled with affordable treasures. I spent a week on Gili Air, snorkelling with turtles and eating fresh food, all for under £40 a day!

Final Thoughts

Travelling on a budget doesn't mean sacrificing incredible experiences. From Albania's pristine beaches to Bolivia's surreal landscapes, these destinations prove that adventure, culture and relaxation can be affordable. With a little planning and an open mind, you can make 2025 your most travel-packed year yet!

Happy Travelling
